Work History

Amanda Potter has several years of office and library experience, which have honed her ability to organize information into useful and digestible chunks. After obtaining her MLS, with a specialization in digital preservation and archival organization, Amanda worked professionally as a digital archivist for two years during which she managed the digitization and organization of hundreds of publishing and book files. Beyond organization, Amanda also created several internal instructional documents to help her colleagues use the archival database more efficiently. Hands-on experience with the copyright department focused Amanda’s education in US copyright into sharply focused textual research.

Independently, Amanda developed her website design and WordPress skills through a series of blogs and websites over the last 5 years. The most recent examples of her writing and design work can be found at Maastricht Minutiae & Walking the Lethe, respectively. She is a regular user of social media for both professional and personal needs.

Amanda Potter is a US expat living and working in Maastricht the Netherlands with her husband and two cats. Her previous US home was Boston, MA where she worked full time as a publishing digital archivist.
